Great question today:
So in the US we usually hear “don’t air your dirty laundry” — (in the UK they might say “linen” instead of laundry)
which means “don’t discuss very private, personal matters in public”
Example:
John: If Nancy would stop nagging me so much, I might be more inclined to help around the house!
Guest: John, don’t air you and your wife’s dirty laundry. We don’t want to hear it.
