In the aftermath of my interview with Khaled, a few people came forward with their own stories of divorce/breakups. Sara (as she would like to be called for this video) kindly agreed to share her own story via Zoom audio. Her intention, as she tells me in the video, is to “raise awareness among women.” I feel that her story–though difficult to hear at times–definitely gave me perspective and insight into the difficult realities of living with a toxic partner. I also learned a bit about how divorce works in Saudi Arabia. I hope you will benefit from hearing Sara’s story.
