Happy March everyone!
Well, it’s been nearly two weeks since we launched the website and I have to say–it’s been worth it! The old website had been around for 4 years and the makeover was WAY overdue.
Now that we’ve launched, I’m humbled and grateful for the many editing requests, emails, and orders from all over the world. We love you!
A few of you have requested to join our team — something I didn’t really see coming, but am OVERJOYED to see. I’m pleased to welcome Hana Abdulaziz, our talented calligrapher, to the Lahjaty family (check out her work here!). We have a number of other collaborators that will be joining us in the near future–not only in the shop with their products, but their translation and design work behind the scenes will help us grow and serve even more.
When I started Lahjaty, it was just a random idea–something for fun, like a hobby. It was a bunch of tweets and Youtube videos aimed at helping native Arabic speakers learn English. That was four years ago. Now, with educational apps and books already published–and another two books on the way, I feel like this baby is starting to grow up and have legs of its own.
First I want to say – Thank you, thank you, thank you! For the feedback, questions, and projects. Helping you achieve your goals–whether that’s learning English to fluency, getting in to grad school in the US, or launching a new product in English-speaking markets–makes our work worthwhile and exciting.
Secondly–stay tuned! The best is yet to come. I am SO excited for the changes to come in 2018, and I can’t wait to share them with you. Keep up with us on Snapchat (free English lessons daily!) and keep in touch.
