Arabic is a beautiful language.

Not just to look at, but to understand and internalize. Although the book “40 Rules of Love” by Elif Shafak was not originally written in Arabic, Khalid Al-Jubaili’s translation is amazing and I highly recommend it.

When I moved to Houston, I wanted artwork that reflects my personality and interests. I thought about modern art, paintings, etc. and that might come later–but the first thing that I though of was Arabic. I printed out some of my favorite quotes and framed them (Canva is my go-to for easy graphic design — even the free version is great!)
